Fishipedia
Find and kill all drip creatures
The gap between “Drip” (kill one drip creature — 98% of players) and Fishipedia (kill them all — 0.3%) is the whole story of this achievement. Everyone stumbles into one shiny fish; almost nobody re-farms every species until its rare roll appears. Even the 4-hour reference run ended with this locked.
What Counts as a Drip Creature
Drip variants are the blue, shiny recolors of normal species — asked what a drip creature is, the reference runner’s answer was simply “It’s the blue ones.” Rare variants are official (the store page lists collecting them as a core feature), and five are confirmed on camera:
| Drip creature | Where seen |
|---|---|
| Drip Rock Crab | Tutorial island (13 minutes in) |
| Drip Salmon | Island 2 |
| Drip Seahorse | Island 3 (also tagged Endangered) |
| Drip Parrot Fish | Island 4 |
| Drip Orfish | Island 5 (volcano) |
That’s not the full roster. The Tab list proves every species has a drip slot: both counters are out of 49. No official spawn rate exists; the reference runner named five on camera but the list at the end of that same run already sat at 23/49 drip creatures, so they are uncommon, not heartbreaking — the last half is the grind.
The Trap: Three Systems Want Your Drips
This is what makes Fishipedia dangerous rather than just long. Drip creatures are simultaneously:
- Slot machine tokens — the Reel of Fortune’s only currency, feeding the much more popular GOLD GOLD GOLD chase (53.3%).
- Quest hand-ins — the Tourist’s endangered-fish request accepts a Drip Seahorse.
- Fishipedia kills — and the condition says kill.
Whether a gambled or handed-in drip still credits the achievement is unverified. The only safe play: kill every drip yourself first. If a quest wants a species that rolled drip, kill the drip copy and hand in a separate normal catch. Full slot-machine mechanics on the drip rewards page.
The Grind Plan
- Finish the story first. You need all five islands and every lure tier before the set can be completed.
- Learn each species’ normal look so a recolor jumps out instantly.
- Farm species by species, noting which island and lure produced each one — re-rolls go much faster with notes.
- Track progress on the same Tab list as Collector — the second line, Drip Creatures x/49, is this achievement. Flip pages with the arrows under the grid.
Most completionists run Fishipedia and Collector together: mapping every species’ spawn for Collector is 90% of the scouting work for this one.
